About our team
The Bearden Swim and Dive team is a compilation of swimmers and divers from Bearden High School in Knoxville, TN. We have a mix of USA competitive swimmers along with seasoned high school swimmers as well as brand new swimmers and divers. We practice 3 times a week at The University of Tennessee in a championship pool. We have a unique opportunity here in Knoxville to have practice and swim meets at top notch facilities. We have 3 great coaches who love our kids and care about them personally and emotionally as well as caring about their swimming ability. Our coaches are great with teaching technique, endurance and fast swimming. We feel like they are also great role models and good at facilitating relationships between the students.
West Valley Middle and Bearden High swim and dive teams work together to make things easier for parents. We will be run practices together and swim most meets together. This year we have one meet (Farragut) that is separate, but on the same day in different pools. Our boards are working in conjunction with one another. We feel like sharing coaches gives our teams the best of both worlds--more exposure to great coaches and their expertise plus a seamless transition from middle school to high school swimming. We will be working on team building and relationships this year. Each team has their own SwimTopia website for signing up for meets and volunteer shifts.
